Premium yachts, comfort and privacy for milestone occasions.

Birthdays, anniversaries and private groups
A private yacht gives a celebration its own setting: your people, your music, your timing and the sea all around. Here is how to plan a birthday, anniversary, proposal or group outing in Grand Cayman, and what to settle before the day.
Occasions
Every occasion has its own rhythm. These are the ones we are asked about most, and what tends to make each one work on the water.
From a milestone birthday for one to a party for a group of friends. A sunset start, a cake on the aft deck and a favorite playlist go a long way.
Often just two people, which makes a smaller, more intimate yacht a natural fit. Timing the day around the late-afternoon light is a popular choice.
Privacy, timing and discretion matter most. We plan quietly with you alone, so the surprise stays a surprise.
Families and old friends together on one deck, with shade for some and swim stops for others.
A day of sun, swimming and music with your closest friends, planned within the vessel's policies and with safety in mind.
A thank-you for clients or a reward for a team, with space to talk and a schedule that fits around the working day.

Photos show the kinds of setups guests ask about and may not have been taken in the Cayman Islands. Decorations, cakes and flowers are arranged and confirmed for your charter, never assumed.
Planning a celebration
Many celebrations are built around the golden hour. In Grand Cayman the sun sets at around 5:45 pm in late November and early December and as late as about 7:05 pm in early July, and the island does not observe daylight saving time. Aim to be settled at anchor, glass in hand, well before the sun reaches the horizon.
The run home after sunset happens in fading light or after dark. Whether a vessel operates after sunset, and when you will be back at the dock, is confirmed in your quote.
Cakes, flowers, balloons, banners and particular drinks can all be requested, but only as arranged and confirmed for your vessel. Some vessels have rules about decorations, such as confetti, glitter or anything that could blow overboard, and some restrict tape on surfaces. Ask before you buy, and we will tell you what the vessel allows.
If you are bringing items yourself, think about the heat and the breeze: frosting softens quickly in the sun, and candles may struggle to stay lit.

Choosing a vessel
The best vessel depends on the size of your group and the mood you want, from an intimate anniversary to a lively birthday. A few examples from our reference listings show the range:
These are reference examples rather than live inventory, and capacity and suitability are always confirmed for your date. For a smaller occasion, our luxury motor yacht guide explains how to choose for comfort, and the catamaran guide compares the two styles.

Groups and music
Two practical questions shape a group charter: how many people can come, and what the day sounds like.
The permitted number of guests depends on the vessel, its licensing and its configuration. Count everyone, including children and anyone working on the day, such as a photographer.
Very large groups may need two or more vessels. Ask early: matching availability on the same date takes time, and each captain makes their own decisions on routes and conditions.
Sound systems vary by vessel, from built-in speakers to none at all. Ask whether you can connect a phone, and keep the volume considerate around other boats and in the marine parks.
A good celebration on the water is a safe one. Alcohol policies are set per vessel: some operators arrange drinks, some allow you to bring your own and some set limits. We confirm the policy for your vessel in your quote.
The captain is responsible for everyone aboard and can limit swimming or water activities for anyone who has been drinking, or when conditions change. Agree beforehand who in your group will keep an eye on everyone, especially when people are in the water.
If your day includes Stingray City or the Sandbar, remember they are shared public marine parks, with families and other visitors around you and strict rules to protect the rays. Never lift a ray out of the water, follow the guides and save the louder part of the party for elsewhere. Nothing should ever be thrown overboard.
Proposals and ceremonies
A yacht is a private setting for a proposal, and a little discreet planning makes the moment feel effortless. Tell us it is a surprise when you first get in touch, and we will keep communication to you alone.
Couples sometimes ask about a vow renewal or symbolic ceremony on board, which may be possible depending on the vessel. If you hope to marry legally in the Cayman Islands, the legal requirements are separate from the charter and are not something we arrange, so look into them early. An officiant and a photographer count toward the guest numbers confirmed for the vessel.

Short answer: as early as you can. There is no fixed lead time, but popular dates, the largest vessels and special arrangements all benefit from notice, and a proposal or milestone birthday rarely has a flexible date.
Winter and spring are typically the busiest period, along with holidays, so dates in those months are worth securing first. Once the vessel is confirmed, the remaining details, from the cake to the playlist, fall into place much more easily.
If your date is close, ask anyway. Availability changes, and we will tell you plainly what is possible. Our guide to charter options and durations explains how quotes are put together.
Share the occasion, your date and any alternatives, the number of guests and the kind of day you picture. Mention if it is a surprise.
Your quote sets out the vessel, availability, guest capacity, departure point, timing, inclusions, pricing and payment arrangements. Check it against your plans before you confirm.
Cake, flowers, decorations, catering, drinks and a photographer, each confirmed against what the vessel allows. Share dietary needs now.
Confirm final numbers, plan transfers to the departure point and keep an eye on the forecast. If the weather looks unsuitable, the captain decides on safety.
Arrive in good time, listen to the safety briefing and enjoy it. Everything you arranged should already be agreed in writing.
Your request
The more we know up front, the faster we can confirm a vessel and the arrangements that make the day yours.
Questions and answers
Decorations, cakes, proposals, payment and the other details that come up when planning an occasion on the water.
Often, within the vessel's rules, and only as agreed in advance. Some vessels do not allow confetti, glitter or anything that could blow overboard, and some restrict tape or fixings on surfaces. Tell us what you have in mind, or ask us to arrange decorations, and we will confirm what the vessel allows.
Ask first, because it depends on the vessel's policy on outside food. If a cake is allowed, keep it cool and shaded until it is time, since frosting softens quickly in the heat, and check whether there is fridge space on board. A cake can sometimes be arranged for you instead, if it is confirmed in your quote.
Tell us it is a surprise when you first get in touch, and we will keep all communication with you. Choose your moment, often the hour before sunset, arrange flowers, drinks or a photographer in advance, and agree a simple reason for the outing. Keep the ring zipped away until the moment.
Plan to be at anchor well before sunset, which in Grand Cayman ranges from around 5:45 pm in late November and early December to about 7:05 pm in early July. We suggest a start time when we quote, and confirm when you will be back at the dock.
Possibly, if a vessel confirmed for that number is available on your date. Capacity depends on each vessel's licensing and configuration, so give us your exact count, including children and anyone working on the day, such as a photographer. If one vessel cannot take everyone, two vessels may be possible; ask early, since matching availability takes time.
Payment arrangements are set out in your quote. If you would like to split the cost, tell us when you request the quote and we will confirm what is possible. It is often simplest for one person to pay and collect contributions from the group separately.
Ask first. Sound systems vary by vessel, and a DJ needs space, power and a place within the confirmed guest numbers. A playlist on your phone is the simplest option if the vessel's system accepts it. Keep the volume considerate near other boats and in the marine parks.
A symbolic ceremony or vow renewal may be possible, depending on the vessel. A legal marriage in the Cayman Islands has its own requirements, which are separate from the charter and not arranged by us, so start looking into them early. Tell us your plans and we will confirm what the vessel can accommodate.
Ask when you request your quote, and tell us what your company needs, such as the company name or a reference number on the paperwork. We will confirm what documentation is available.
Yes. Each vessel sets its own policies on alcohol, decorations and behavior, and the captain has the final say on safety, including swimming. Respectful conduct matters at the Stingray City and Sandbar marine parks, which are shared with families and other visitors. Within those limits, it can be a memorable day out.
For a proposal or milestone celebration, it is worth considering. A photographer counts toward the guest numbers confirmed for the vessel, so include them in your request. For a proposal, agree in advance where they will be and when, so the moment stays a surprise.
If catering is arranged for your charter, share allergies and dietary needs in your request so they can be confirmed in writing with the caterer or operator. For severe allergies, ask exactly how food is prepared, and consider bringing safe snacks if the vessel allows outside food.
