Seven Mile Beach Charters
Charter ideas for guests staying along the west coast resort corridor.

Resort and hotel guests
How to fit a private day on the water into a Grand Cayman resort stay, from choosing the right day to getting to the dock. Yachts Cayman is an independent charter coordination service and is not affiliated with any hotel.
Beyond the pool deck
A Seven Mile Beach resort puts the sea at your door, but many of Grand Cayman's best-known experiences are found on the water in the North Sound: Stingray City and the Sandbar, shallow snorkel stops and the quieter shores around Rum Point and Starfish Point.
A private charter lets your group see those places on its own boat, on a schedule built around your stay rather than a shared tour's timetable. It suits a family reunion, a milestone birthday, a couple marking an anniversary or friends who simply want a day together with a change of scene.
Yachts Cayman takes your request, checks suitable vessels for your date and confirms availability, the departure point, inclusions and pricing in a personalized quote. Browse our reference fleet of yachts and catamarans for an idea of the styles available.

The vessel and crew are for your group alone, although popular sites such as the Sandbar are shared public marine parks.
Choose a morning, afternoon or sunset outing that fits around spa, golf and dinner plans.
Linger where you are happy or move on; the captain adjusts the plan to the conditions.
Birthdays, anniversaries and reunions can be planned in when you tell us in advance.
Short answer: do not plan on it unless it is confirmed. We do not promise hotel docks, beach pickups or hotel transfers. Many charters depart from docks on the North Sound, and the departure point and any transfer arrangements are confirmed in your quote.
Seven Mile Beach faces west onto the open sea, while Stingray City and the Sandbar lie in the North Sound, on the other side of the resort corridor. Close to the beach, the Port Regulations also set low speed limits and protect marked swim areas, which is one more reason a pickup from a resort's sand is not something we assume.
Instead, you make your way to the departure dock, usually by taxi, unless a transfer is confirmed as part of your quote. When you tell us where you are staying, we suggest a plan that keeps the transfer sensible and send clear directions, an arrival time and a contact number for the day. Our guide to marinas and departure points describes the places you may be asked to meet.
Your resort's name, or the area, helps us suggest a sensible departure point for the vessel offered.
Your quote sets out the dock, the arrival time, a contact number and any transfer that is included.
Take a taxi or drive, allowing for traffic, particularly on West Bay Road at busy times.
Where you are staying
Guests from every part of the island charter with us. Here is how we plan around the best-known Seven Mile Beach resorts, and around everywhere else.
The Ritz-Carlton sits on Seven Mile Beach along West Bay Road, and its golf facilities overlook the North Sound. Guests often ask whether a yacht can collect them from the resort itself. We do not offer pickups from the property or its beach, so plan on meeting your charter at the dock confirmed in your quote; we take your location into account when suggesting where that should be.
Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa and the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort are among the resorts on Seven Mile Beach. As with every hotel on the corridor, we plan around where you are staying rather than assuming a pickup from the property. Several marina areas, including Governors Creek and Camana Bay harbor, sit on the North Sound side of the same corridor, and which one suits depends on the vessel offered.
Guests based in George Town, South Sound, West Bay, Bodden Town, North Side or East End can charter too. A start on the north side, near Rum Point or Cayman Kai, may suit guests on that side of the island where the vessel and operator allow. If you are staying in a private home, our villa guest guide covers private docks and canal-side properties.

Planning around your stay
A charter is easiest to enjoy when it is not squeezed between flights, checkouts and fixed reservations. This is how the days of a typical resort stay compare.
Flights can run late and it is good to settle in first, so avoid booking a charter for the day you land.
If the weather does not cooperate, there is still time to reschedule before you leave.
Everyone has found their rhythm, which suits a longer day or a special occasion.
If conditions change, there is no spare day to move to, so keep the evening flexible.
Luggage, checkout times and fixed flight times leave no room for a weather delay.
Many guests keep treatments for the day after a charter, or for later in the afternoon following a morning outing.
A tee time and a charter can share a day if they sit at opposite ends of it, with time allowed for the transfer from the dock.
After a sunset charter, book your table with a comfortable buffer after the confirmed return time.
Check resort activity schedules, including children's programs, before fixing your date.
Experience ideas
These are popular ways to shape a charter. Stops, timing and inclusions depend on the vessel, the departure point and the conditions, and are confirmed in your quote.
The Sandbar and Stingray City, then back for an afternoon by the pool. Stingray City charters.
A reef stop chosen on the day for the conditions, with gear only if confirmed. Snorkeling charters.
A swim and an unhurried lunch in calm water, with food and drink as confirmed in your quote.
Timed to the season, from roughly 5:45 pm to just after 7 pm. See sunset times.

Many resorts run their own beach water sports or can arrange boat excursions, and what is offered varies from hotel to hotel. Neither option is better in every case; the right one depends on your group, your budget and how much control you want over the day. Some guests enjoy both during the same stay.

Your concierge and us
Resort concierges know the island well, and you are welcome to share our details with yours or ask them to contact us for you. We do not claim any relationship with a hotel's concierge team, and your charter is arranged with Yachts Cayman as set out in your quote, not through the resort or your room bill.

Questions and answers
How a private charter works alongside a hotel stay, and what to arrange before you book.
Not unless a specific arrangement is confirmed in your quote. We do not offer pickups from the resort, its beach or any hotel dock as standard. Many charters meet at a dock on the North Sound instead, and the departure point and any transfer are set out clearly in your quote, with directions and a contact number for the day.
No. Yachts Cayman is an independent charter booking and coordination service. We have no partnership, preferred-provider arrangement or other affiliation with The Ritz-Carlton or any other hotel or resort. Hotel names appear on this page only to help guests find information relevant to where they are staying.
Yes. You are welcome to share our details with your concierge, who can call +1 305-515-4735 or email info@YachtsCayman.com. We will still confirm the details, terms and quote directly with the person making the booking, so everyone is clear on what has been arranged.
No. A charter arranged through Yachts Cayman is not a hotel service, so it cannot be added to your room bill. Your booking is made with us, and the payment terms are set out in your personalized quote.
It depends on where you are staying and which dock the vessel uses. Several marina areas, including Governors Creek and Camana Bay harbor, sit on the North Sound side of the Seven Mile Beach corridor, but traffic varies and we do not publish drive times. When you tell us your resort, we take the transfer into account and confirm the meeting point in your quote.
Many resorts offer their own beach water sports or arrange boat excursions, and the details vary from hotel to hotel, so ask your resort what it runs. A private charter gives your group its own vessel and crew, with the timing and stops shaped around your plans, subject to the conditions on the day. Choose whichever suits your group; some guests enjoy both.
Early to mid-stay usually works best. Avoid your arrival day, when flights can run late, and your checkout day, when luggage and flight times make things tight. Booking earlier in the trip also leaves a spare day in case the weather moves your charter.
Yes, with a little planning. A morning charter leaves the afternoon free, or you can keep the spa and golf for the day after. If you put both on the same day, allow time to get back from the dock; your return time and departure point are confirmed in your quote, which makes it easier to book around them.
Many families bring children along, especially for shallow-water stops and a swim at anchor. Tell us their ages so properly sized life jackets can be confirmed and we can suggest a vessel with good shade. Resort children's programs vary, so check with your hotel if you want to combine the two. Our family charter guide has more ideas.
Yes. Book your table with a comfortable buffer after the confirmed return time, and remember to allow for the trip back from the dock. Sunset ranges from roughly 5:45 pm to just after 7 pm through the year, so the departure time is set for your date.
We do not recommend it. Space on board varies, flight times are fixed and a weather delay could leave you short of time. If it is your only option, ask your resort about holding your luggage, tell us your flight time and choose an earlier, shorter outing.
Resort casual works for most charters: swimwear with a cover-up, a hat, sunglasses and a light layer for the ride back or an evening outing. Ask whether the vessel prefers bare feet or soft-soled shoes on deck, and leave valuables you will not need in your room safe.
